A race with real hard enduro identity

Extreme XL Lagares has long been one of the standout stops of the season, and in 2026 it returns with renewed energy. After a period of fading from the spotlight, the Portuguese classic is back stronger, tougher, and more relevant than ever.

This year also brings a fresh format that keeps the pressure on from start to finish. Instead of everything coming down to a single decisive race, championship points will now be awarded across all three days — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That means riders must be fast, but also smart and consistent throughout the entire weekend.

Pressure rises with Bolt leading the standings

The championship arrives in Portugal with Billy Bolt leading the series, which puts extra pressure on the entire front group as the fight begins to take shape. With the field so tight and Lagares known for punishing mistakes, every result across the weekend could matter in the early title battle.
